Open Question: Minor, Caught stealing at Sears?

I know what you're thinking, and yes I know, I'm a complete idiot. Here's the rundown: Me and my friend stole a couple of items from sears. I'm not going to sugar coat it, I stole two shirts, around $50 dollars I believe. They didn't directly tell me. I had to sign some papers, and my mom picked me up etc. They didn't answer my questions, and left me with a "You'll get a letter in the mail." Here's what I'm curious of: Will I only have to pay a fine? Attend court and pay a fine? Community service? I have no idea. I highly doubt I'll be put under arrest. I'm 16 years old by the way, but my birthdays in a month, and I predict I'll be 17 by my court date. I'm in the state of Illinois, if that at all effects anything. Think I'll need a lawyer? As for the lesson, I won't be stealing again. But I'm quite mouthy, because I hate when they lie to me and tell me I'm going to be arrested on the spot, and All I do is sit in an office for 2 hours.
