Illinois Crime Rate Stats Skewed

Apr 21, 2024

Illinois politicians have reclassified crimes to inaccurately show a decrease in crime.

Illinois News Crime Safe-T Act Statistics

Illinois has experienced changes in crime classification and reporting practices following the implementation of the SAFE-T Act. This legislation, effective from January 2023, altered the pre-trial detention protocols for certain crimes, impacting how crimes are reported and prosecuted. Critics argue that these changes may contribute to a perception that crime rates are lower due to less stringent detention and reporting policies, rather than actual decreases in criminal activity. The debate continues on whether these reforms have helped or hindered overall public safety in the state (WirePoints Illinois Financial News).

When you research crime statistics for 2024, they are inaccurately represented due to erroneous reclassification efforts put into place by corrupt Illinois politicians. Comparing crime statistics that have completely different measurement categories produces an entirely incorrect conclusion. If you reclassify robbery as a misdemeanor, so it is no longer a felony, there will be a false impression made that there is a reduction in felonies due to the reclassification. Many violent crimes have been reclassified to mask the incredible increase in both violent and non-violent crimes across Chicagoland.

Suburbs such as Schaumburg and Naperville have seen a 10 fold increase in car jackings, armed robberies, and reported crime incidents. To skew these crime statistics even further, local police departments often do not make the incidents public and only come out publicly when people start posting about it on social media platforms.

Many violent crimes have been hidden from public view, even when the public at large is in danger due to armed individuals running from the police through residential neighborhoods. We often find out about these incidents days after they occurred only due to public outcry on social media.

Our own eyes and ears don't deceive us

Many of us living in Chicago and the suburbs of Chicagoland can plainly see the increase in crime. While the government tries to mask and skew the data, trust what you see. In the once quiet Northwest Suburbs of Chicagoland we now have permanent homeless encampments, droves of gypsies and vagrants on street corners, drive by shootings, and vehicle theft. We all know this is not the America we once knew, despite what the powers that be try to cover our eyes with.

We all have the ability and power to self-govern and stand against for what we know is wrong. Speaking out and not feeding into the corporate/government propaganda is what is needed to start improving our own communities. A nation and its people comes before government. Identifying the underlying problems that exist is the first step in clearing the smokescreen of our corrupt government and corporate media.
